I think I’m Nostradamus

I was rummaging through old writings that I had on my hard drive to post here, and I came across the following story which I had written on 8/16/2012 and I never posted it anywhere. Read the following, and then tell me how close I got…thinking “Metaverse” while doing so…enjoy!

Get ready. It’s coming. Do you know what’s next after Facebook? You probably just thought, “Well golly gee, Wally, what can get better than Facebook? I WANT IT!” Well it’s not ready yet. To put it simply at first, mindbook. Don’t try to buy the domain name, because one, I already looked and it’s taken. And two, that’s not what it will really be called, that’s just the name I came up with to help you comprehend this idea.

The computers and data flow are getting better. FAST! Before you know it, you’re going to be wearing what I’ll call a computer hat. It has everything built right in. Brainwave sensors, true retinal display (The futuristic one, over just one eye), a camera or eight to cover all angles, your phone, a GPS, wifi and anything else that would be beneficial to the everyday robot that we’re all becoming.

Yes, these hats are going to link up to the web. That’s the point. You’ll be able to communicate any way you want with other humanoids, or multiple humanoids if need be. But you’re not going to type it. You’re going to think it. You’re going to stop using your mouth for communications. Hopefully by then we won’t be fed intravenously, because then our faceholes become useless.
